Delhi will be hosting the 19th commonwealth games in year 2010 between 3rd and 14th October. Delhi won the right to stage the 2010 Commonwealth Games on 13th Nov 2003 at the Commonwealth Games Federation’s general assembly in Jamaica. With 1.2 billion people, India makes up more than half of the Commonwealth’s entire population.

Sports persons, supporters and relevant officials from 85 countries would be visiting Delhi for the games and would be participating in various sporting events. So, there will be a surge of tourists visiting Delhi just before the start of the games.
